For example in online games like League of Legends, VALORANT, DotA, etc. where the characters have a voice over that is always heard as long as the game is online. Does that give voice actors the right to get money periodically because they're technically part of the game? This might sound dumb, but me and one of my fr…

Whether choosing an auditioning monologue or coming up against a monologue in a part I've already been assigned, I get so stuck on the stupidest stuff. Especially for monos that seem especially stylized or "writer-y," I can't get past how I don't know how to make the line work and it's gonna sound clunky. I always feel…

I know CD's have their fav sites to cast but as actors, what is your fav sites and explain. I'll go first. I would like to start by saying that I am non-union and I am not repped. My 2 is Actors Access and All Casting. Actors Access is pretty easy and pretty straightforward. I get a lot of my auditions from them and th…

Like others have stated in these forums, Casting Networks (formerly L.A. Casting, that completely split on its own) underwent a supposed 'overhaul' during 2021 \[I got the update too\] and also raised their rates significantly. They're definitely not Actors Access (which remains the easiest go-to) So, I guess I'm wonde…

I've been taking acting classes for only a year but, man, I can really notice bad acting where you have to think, even the actors realize how terrible the script is.. Man, I was watching Perfect Storm just now...That intro/establishing stuff. . OMG. So BAD. Clooney, Wahlberg, Dianne Lane.. WTF???? Anyone know what I me…

Hi, I've been an actress for most of my life on a school-wide level and I'd like to try and take that into the professional world, in both film and musical theater. However, I have no idea where to even start looking for auditions. I have found a website called Backstage but I don't know how legit it is or if it's wort…

He actually has a pretty long list of movies (check Wikipedia). Which means that right now he is just playing a role - like Schwarzenegger in action movies. And he is playing the role so well because he is always method acting and filming on location. ;-)

Mods, feel free to delete if not allowed or relevant. I know there’s a VO sub, however, I’m curious if any TV / Film actors here have transitioned into VO and what their experience has been. I want to continue with TV / Film but I’ve always been interested in VO. I get auditions here and there for it but nothing too cr…

To preface, I am not an actor so I apologize if I’m breaking any rules I’m just not sure where else to ask this question lol. For context I was reading about the director Sam Levinson and the actress Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat on Euphoria. They allegedly got in a dispute/disagreement about how Kat was developing in…

Hi guys, I'll preface by saying I have no acting experience. Even in high school, I was a theater techie and in the pit orchestra, but never performing on stage. This is a bit of a weird question, but for anyone who has had a recurring role on a tv or limited series, I wanted to ask how often you were on set?
