Hey! I’m an aspiring actor who recently created a professional instagram account. I’ve made a couple high quality vertical reels and have posted the ones I found the most engaging. My acting is great in those reels and I’m now thinking if it’d worth boosting the reels via paid ads so I can gain more followers to my pro…

I've been very cautious about having my children on social media. I've posted them, but it's been very sporadic. Now that my son is looking to become an actor, though, I've been thinking about whether or not he needs an Instagram or Facebook page of his own. Does it make a difference?

Representation is one of the biggest milestones in an actor's career but the goal is not simply getting an agent or manager. It is getting the right one. Start by understanding what each does: agents secure and negotiate auditions and bookings, while managers take a broader view, guiding your career strategy, your mate…

How I Finally Booked House of Cards After 14 AuditionsOver two years, I auditioned for House of Cards fourteen times through different agents and three different casting directors. Some went great. I got callbacks, got asked for availability, and still didn't book. On the fifteenth, I booked a recurring role playing El…

I love performing, I'm not embarrassed or too nervous when I get in front of a camera for a scene or rehearsing. But for some reason, every time I perform, I start to vibrate?? If that makes sense. I don't know how to stop it or to calm it down, it's super distracting. I've told my mom about it, and she says it happens…

A little about me to frame the question: I'm a Philly based actor (I have a "real" 9-5, I act because I love it. I don't need the income.) Over the years I collected 6 SAG waivers doing background work and have been SAG-E for the last 3 years. Other than background all my work has been non-union or SAG ULB. This year h…

Hi! I’m currently working on my first indie visual novel and I’m starting to look into voice acting, but I honestly have no idea what a realistic budget would be. I recently came across an older discussion about Steven Ditmyer and Meisner International, and because my experience has been so radically different from some of what I read there, I felt it was worth sharing it.
